In Washtenaw County, the number of overdose deaths has decreased. Health officials reported 58 resident deaths from overdoses in 2025, down from 68 the previous year. A significant portion of these deaths were related to opioids.

Most of the individuals who died from opioid-related overdoses were white men between 25 and 54 years old. The Washtenaw County Health Department noted that this trend represents a 10-year low for the county.
