A well-known photographer from WXYZ-TV has passed away. Johnny Sartin, a revered photojournalist, died after battling cancer. He was 65 years old.

Sartin spent 30 years working at 7 News Detroit, prior to which he worked in Mississippi, Oklahoma City, and at WDIV-TV in Detroit. Sartin's career involved covering significant events, including natural disasters. He traveled with WXYZ meteorologist Jerry Hodak to cover severe weather and mudslides in the 1990s.
