The resident believes lightning struck the tree, sending it into the house. Across the street, a transformer was struck, causing a power line to fall and go through a detached garage.

The person living in the damaged home reported that the tree came through his bedroom. Fortunately, he was able to get his family out of the house without anyone being injured.
