An oversight report found a significant waste of taxpayer dollars due to the misuse of city resources. A complaint was filed with the Office of Inspector General in January 2025, alleging abuse of power by a supervisor. The complaint claimed that staff were asked to drive an employee between their home and work, resulting in time fraud and retaliation against workers who refused.
The investigation revealed that $40,157 in overtime pay was wasted over the course of a year. Further details of the investigation are available. The report stems from an allegation of misconduct by a DDOT supervisor.
More information on the findings can be found through a partner publication.
