Michigan State University is nearing a decision on its new athletic director. The university is reportedly finalizing a deal to hire Dan Bartholomae, currently the athletic director at Western Michigan.

Bartholomae has experience as a deputy athletic director, previously serving in that role at Oregon State. He has been leading Western Michigan's athletic department since January 2022, during which time the Broncos have achieved significant success.
