A campaign to provide new books to children is set to kick off on September 9. The initiative, called "If You Give A Child A Book," aims to inspire reading and make a difference in the community. The Scripps Howard Fund will match donations up to $200,000 on the day of the kickoff.

Employees at WXYZ-TV and TV20, along with the Scripps Howard Fund, are involved in the effort to get high-quality books to children. Last year, the campaign helped provide over 20,000 new books to kids.

Further details about the campaign and how to participate are available. Donations can be made by clicking on a provided link to support the cause and help give a child a book.
