A new trend is emerging among young people. Some individuals born in or after 1997 are becoming homeowners in their 20s. This is notable because the average age of first-time homebuyers has reached an all-time high of 40 years old.

These young buyers are taking a different approach to achieving their goals. They often start saving early and consider properties that require renovation. Family support also plays a role when available.

Further information about this trend and the experiences of these young homeowners is available from the National Association of REALTORS.
