Developers of a proposed $2.2 billion Renaissance Center redevelopment have been asked to make significant commitments. Bedrock and General Motors are being requested to provide $40 million in gifts and agree to numerous additional concessions. A list of around 100 requests was presented to the developers and made public during a Neighborhood Advisory Council meeting.

The proposed Community Benefits package, if approved, would be sizable. Details of the package are available, including the full list of requests, which spans 18 pages. Further information on the proposal and the Community Benefits deal can be found through a partnership between BridgeDetroit and the Detroit Free Press.
