A child was shot and killed after police responded to a ShotSpotter alert. Officers arrived at the scene and found the victim, who was then transported to a hospital where they were pronounced deceased. The child was reportedly a student at Northwestern High School, but no other identifying information has been released.

Police are seeking information about the shooting and are asking anyone with knowledge to come forward. Rewards are being offered for tips that lead to a resolution, including a $5,000 reward from Detroit Rewards TV.
